Questions

Do I need AbleSet?

No. You can still use Ableset Locator notation & section tracks, which help AbleFrog to understand your Ableton set. AbleFrog works with plain Live projects too. Songs are then bounded by their clips and named after their files.

Does AbleFrog change my song files?

Only if you want it to. The song editor allows you to make some changes to your song files. Setlist Builds never affect your song files, and if you want to keep your song files protected from editing, you can disable it in the settings.

How do I set up my songs?

Save each song as its own Live project in your Songs folder, using File › Collect All and Save, so its audio stays with it. AbleFrog will recognize each song, and you'll see them show up in the app immediately.

Can I import an Ableton set with multiple songs?

Yes! AbleFrog finds each song inside your set using its locators, and lists them separately in your library. You can build from them directly or save any song as its own project.

Which version of Ableton Live do I need?

Currently, Live 12 is required. Songs saved in older versions are flagged so you can open and resave them in Live 12. If you need support for an older version, give us feedback!

Is it a subscription?

No. You buy AbleFrog once and keep it. A year of updates is included, and you can renew for more whenever you like. Cloud storage, is an optional monthly or yearly add-on.

Can I use it on more than one computer?

Yes, on up to 3 computers, like a laptop for the stage and a desktop at home. If you'd like to add more seats, please contact us.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Everything except Planning Center import and cloud storage works without an internet connection.

Is my Planning Center account safe?

AbleFrog signs in through Planning Center's own login page and only asks to read your Services plans. Your password never passes through AbleFrog, and you can disconnect at any time. We'll never edit any data in your Planning Center account.
